Some things just go together. Erwin Hoeing ran a lumberyard for his career in Indianapolis, Indiana. Forrest Sutherland dabbled in home improvement in the hills of Kentucky. Their grandson, Keith Hoeing, began working for a builder when he was 16. As he rose through the twists and turns of the homebuilding industry, he achieved his goal of having his own building company. He continued the tradition of his grandfathers and combined the names to form Erwin Forrest Builders.
Growing up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina provided Keith with the desire to build distinguished homes like he admired when he was young. He also learned that southern hospitality was simply a way to make others feel at home, so he uses that ideal to establish trust and confidence with each of his buyers as they work together to build their dream. By working closely with each buyer, Keith has produced homes that set themselves apart from the ordinary. Quality is a given, character is the goal. Customer Satisfaction is what drives his business.

KEITH HOEING
President
Keith started this company over 17 years ago! He started as a solo act but has had the good fortune to surround himself with all of these good people. He still loves to make something out of nothing and really enjoys seeing our client’s dream come to life!

Would be a miserable person without his music.
JASON ANDREWS
Architect
Jason is our in house Architect. He has a wealth of experience drawing all kinds of houses and additions. There is nothing he can not handle. Jason is a great listener and loves the challenge of building all kinds of different structures.
Fun Facts:
Loves to cook and bike on any trail he can find.
MATT BROADHECKER
Carpenter
Matt can also lay some tile too. But recently he has excelled at installing all kinds of trim and carpentry features in our homes. He loves to do it even more when he can have his music playing!
Fun Facts:
King of on-site antics and has the most entertaining music playlist.
ALEX BROCHU
Dir. of Construction Operations
Alex is our longest tenured employee. Our first hire. He has come a long way from his early days of labor, added a little carpentry detail and now is one of our finest managers in New Construction. He is the glue that keeps all of the moving parts together to get the house done.

Enjoys restoring antique hand tools found at yard sales.
JON CARL
Supervisor, New Construction
Jon Carl has been working with us since he was in High School! He has taken great strides in using his hands to help build our custom homes and really likes learning more about the process each day.
Fun Facts:
Would spend every weekend four-wheeling in upstate New York.
DAN FANTASIA
Project Manager, Communities
Dan is really good at getting our houses out of the ground. His concentration is on our quick delivery homes and he is really good at managing multiple job sits and job starts.
Fun Facts:
Spends most weekends spent coaching his kids playing soccer.
NICK FESMIRE
Supervisor, Renovations
Nick is another veteran who is really good at running all of our Renovation Projects. He can jump into any old farmhouse and bring it up to the current living standards desired. He has done it all and is happy to share his experience with all of our team.
Fun Facts:
Worked for most of his childhood in his father’s renovation business.
KEVIN GEHMAN
Working Supervisor,
Small Renovations
Kevin is one of our veteran leaders. I do not think you will ever see him NOT smiling. He loves to make everyone’s life better. He works with our small renovation jobs and still loves to do the work himself. But what he likes to do best is to get to know each of our clients! He is a people person.

Loves to fly stunt kites.
TAIT GEHMAN
Working Supervisor,
Small Renovations
Tait is untapped talent. He loves to work with his dad, Kevin, on the small renovations. He can handle any type of work and loves the challenge of doing different work. But we are finding he has a nice touch and huge potential on Design too. Who knows which way he will go with EFB!
Fun Facts:
Would travel the globe for the right techno show and used to be a waiter at a country club!
BRADEN GLAD
Construction Tech
Braden is another young man, climbing the ranks of EFB! He works primality in the finish stages of our quick delivery houses. He continues to tackle more and more projects in each house each day.

Dedicated Baltimore Ravens fan.
SHELDON GRAEFF
Construction Tech
Sheldon is one of our younger guys who is moving right up the ladder also! He started with us, fresh out of high school and has been growing into different roles since he started. He is vey good on the finish end of our houses and has the potential to do even more.

Was a professional bowler in his childhood years.
EMILY HELM
Designer
Emily is one of our in house designers. Another young mind with so many great ideas. She loves to design not just kitchens and baths, but can put the whole house together for you and make sure the house looks just like you imagined!

Likes to paint landscape portraits.
SUE HELM
Selections Coordinator
Sue handles all of the coordination of our customer’s selections. She is always writing something down and giving it to the right people on our Team. She also has a ridiculous amount of experience with Lighting and design and is happy to help you get the right lights for your project.

Hell of an ice cream cake maker!
MATT HINKLE
Painter
Matt is the most transparent person out there. He is a painter, through and through. He is just not a terrific, well skilled painter, but he is thrilled to be doing it and very proud of his work.
Fun Facts:
4th generation painter – family painting dates back to the 1800’s.
ALEX HUDSON
Assistant Supervisor,
New Construction
Alex never like to sit still. Another one of our young guns, he is a big help to Alex in our New Construction Division and helps do all kinds of little jobs that these new homes take to get to the finish line.
Fun Facts:
Avid bass fisherman and any free time he has is spent riding his bicycle around town.
JOHN JORDAN
Project Manager, Custom Homes
John is our most seasoned Manager. He loves to handle the ‘one of a kind’ homes or renovation projects. He too loves digging into the details and making sure our customers get exactly what they want in these intricate projects. Ask him about his vintage Porsche too.
Fun Facts:
Loves to spend the weekends cruising in his classic 911 and majored in Political Science.
TIM LEWIS
Carpenter
Tim is one of the most experienced carpenters in the Valley. He has been doing it since he got out of the Marine Corp. and still loves the challenge of putting his touch on our unique houses.
Fun Facts:
Keith was a gopher for Tim many moons ago; proud grandpa, father of 2 and a former marine!
DARREN MAGUIRE
Renovation and Warranty Manager
Darren is our Jack of All Trades. He is really good at managing our Warranty Department and does a great job and fixing all of those little annoying issues. He also handles all of our small renovation projects and is happy to come back into our houses to offer other handy man services!

In his former life, he delivered all kinds of plumbing supplies.
STEVEN OSWALD
Assistant Supervisor, Renovations
Steve is one of our young guns that has a long future with us. Steve works primarily with Nick and is very good at handling all of the challenges of renovation. He loves to get the tools out and get dirty and do as much work on his own as he possibly do.

Spends most nights training in kickboxing and jiu-jitsu.
JARROD REPH
Carpenter
Jarrod is another one of our very skilled carpenters. He has been working with wood for most of his life and quietly gets great stuff done everyday. He loves to be a part of our carpentry team and get pushed to do new ideas!

Skateboard junkie.
KELLY RYAN
Project Coordinator
Kelly is really good at keeping the projects organized and moving. She is based out of the office and works hand in hand with Steve to get our smaller homes permitted, priced and closed!

BLAKE SCHERER
Assistant Supervisor, Renovations
Blake has transitioned from our paint division to our renovation division. Blake likes to see projects turn from one thing to another. He is handling some very involved, large change renovation jobs. And he loves it.

JACK STAHLEY
Supervisor, New Construction
Jack is a fresh face right out of college. Jack is very well versed in managing our large, pure custom renovation and builds. He is really good at looking into the details of the unique jobs and can really carry out the communication needed to build some amazing houses.

Puts out fires off the job too, as a volunteer firefighter.
BRANDON ZURICK
Finish Superintendent
Brandon has been a terrific addition to our team and a really fast learner. He started out in the restaurant industry, but came to us with a desire to build. He has been very successful in this transition as both industries start with great customer service, something he is really great at. He handles all of our quick delivery homes in the finish stages.

Concert lover and avid fisherman.
STEVE STRADLING
Dir. of Planning & Estimating
Steve is the backbone of our office. He has a wealth of construction experience and came on board as our Lead Estimator. Now he not only does that, but handles all off our budgets and changes during the build, develops company procedure and policy and can build any of our houses on paper.
Fun Facts:
High School Soccer Coach.
LAUREN VILLANO
Senior Designer
Lauren is another one of our Designers. She has a load of experience with kitchen and bath layouts, but can lend a big helping hand when you are making all kinds of decisions for the house. She loves design!
Fun Facts:
Given her choice, would live off the grid, raise her girls and grow her own food!
